summer days

These days the heat is hellish, my vacation far away and in addition, two of my close friends have moved: one to Milan and one to San Francisco. I’m not sure which of these three facts irritates me the most. I do not sell anything: I just thought to photograph the very little things that I will carry with me on vacation (those accompanies me also in the city). The tendency is to stick to the basics, travel light. So here’s my summer attire:
Red Porselli shoes (in the shop, the red colour has been described to me as: “a red duck beak”; made me smile!). A printed flower dress, filmy and no logo.
The summer issue of one of my favourite magazines Magazine.
Arte Open Air, a guide through the contemporary Italians sculpture parks and gardens.
Argentina Looney Planet travel guide (no, I’m not going to Argentina; is just a habit I have: buying and reading travel guides).
The Jack Spade bag. Persol sunglasses. Nafi de Luca hat.

Here is an alternative: white cotton dress, marinière Petit Bateau, Anniel shoes.

A red Comme des Garçons and a Perigot black bear bag. Some people think and say that this kind of bags look cheap mainly because they are not made in leather. Well, I don’t care. The first reason I appreciate them is the price: both together costed me less then 100€! The second, but not less important fact, is that the red one gave me the energy of a colour which feeds my soul on the grey winter.
It does not look big yet, I was surprised: my whole world found space in this bag: dossiers, books, wallets, makeup, umbrella, small nothings that do not serve me but I can not separate myself from them. I don’t know how, but everything stays in. Strong and very cute, the bear bag has something childish; that’s why I love him and maybe that’s why everyone ask me questions about.

The collaboration between Peter Pilotto and the bag brand Kipling generates a bag collection which I adore. Coveted designs at affordable prices. Who says better?! My favourite is the one on the window display ♡

She is my favourite! I have seen people wearing Chanel bags being so affected but she is carrying it in such a easy way!!

Frivolity is not all bad. The intelligent frivolity can be creative and positive. I love bags. I love collecting, I hate owning.
