For me, part of the pleasure of travelling is the space and time that separate you from a city to another; from a country to another. The “in between time” makes me feel in a no man’s land where everything can happen. I’m not able to concentrate for a long time in reading and consequently I let myself go. I’m roving. I feel free. Free not to read that important article that will teach me how to live a meaningful and enjoyable life. Free not to update the status on different social networks.

Since red is one of my favourite colours, during a short visit in London I only took pictures with the iPhone’s hipstamatic Kaimal lens. The Y-3 shoes, my prefereted this winter, accompanied me all the time on the streets of London.

Best finding: one penny coin on the train who took me from the airport to the center of London.
I felt lucky somehow.

I’m a huge fan of tea. So I could have not missed a tea at Liberty store.

The second best finding are those watches I saw at The Shop At the Blue Bird. They reminded me about how cool it was to have one while I was a teenager and how badly I wanted to wear one (especially those with the numbers). I still don’t have one and I know that this is naive but I keep thinking that I’ll be the coolest if I’ll have one.
The best part of this trip and the most touching was visiting the Barbican Art Gallery to see the Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion exhibition.
From the early 1980s to the present, the exhibition presents the leading figures of Japanese fashion Issey Miake, Rei Kwakubo and Yohji Yamamoto alongside with subsequent generations of designers: the acclaimed innovators Junya Watanabe and Jun Takahashi, followed by rising stars of the new generation as Tao Kurihara, Matohu, Akira Naka.

The hauntingly beautiful Junya Watanabe’s ethereal red jacket (a/w 2000-01) and the yellow honeycumb-structured skirt immersed me in a world of tale and pure poetry. I’m grateful to Miriam who indicated me the exhibition. A sublime and enlightening experience I never wanted to end. An exhibition that everyone with propensity to seek beauty should not miss.

affordable bags
A red Comme des Garçons and a Perigot black bear bag. Some people think and say that this kind of bags look cheap mainly because they are not made in leather. Well, I don’t care. The first reason I appreciate them is the price: both together costed me less then 100€! The second, but not less important fact, is that the red one gave me the energy of a colour which feeds my soul on the grey winter.
It does not look big yet, I was surprised: my whole world found space in this bag: dossiers, books, wallets, makeup, umbrella, small nothings that do not serve me but I can not separate myself from them. I don’t know how, but everything stays in. Strong and very cute, the bear bag has something childish; that’s why I love him and maybe that’s why everyone ask me questions about.
The collaboration between Peter Pilotto and the bag brand Kipling generates a bag collection which I adore. Coveted designs at affordable prices. Who says better?! My favourite is the one on the window display ♡
